What sounded impossible was done in approximately 45 days! The most impactful moments for us - outside of the great work every single one of the contractors and team delivered on to make this basement a reality - were:1) Great consulting and delivery on the quote; of all the service partners that we engaged, Harmony Basements was the most transparent and detailed in helping us make an informed decision.2) Sound design advice from Stefany on all counts and love how the accent wall came out!3) Too many contractors to all name - but lets start with Diego, a great PM and Architect that demonstrated great pride in the work of Harmony Basements. We had some interesting discussions throughout the process, what I came away with was appreciation for the open communication, timely updates shared, and when things were not going according to plan - how he went about communicating that and making sure we were satisfied with the decisions made. Harmony finished our basement in mid-Sept 2017. Overall a pretty great job but it was 4 weeks delayed and there were minor workflow issues. I would still recommend them. The materials are top notch and my basement is toasty warm. Our family now has an extra 1000 sq ft of useable, functional living space. I have a more thorough review on Homestars. I had a great experience with Harmony Basements We had our basement underpinned and fully finished with them. The project ran slightly over the initial timeline, but the project manager went above and beyond to accommodate us for the 2 week delay. Each part of the process was explained to us in detail. Communication was excellent and key to these types of projects. The quality and hard work of the trades did not go unnoticed. We are very happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend!

My basement was built by Harmony in May 2018, yes.. TWO years ago and I am writing a review now, two years later. My reason for writing a review two years later is because during my time, I have worked with a lot of trades people and often I find that most trades like to do their work and quickly move on to the next job, not giving a care about the job they just completed. These companies don't stand by their final product, they will make it look good for the first few months and after that when a few items go wrong, they don't care to come back and fix it. Based on this experience, I decided to write my review of Harmony Basements two years later at the end of the two year warranty that they offer. After two years, Harmony Basements STANDS BY there final product. Harmony has built the BEST, RELIABLE and ABSOLUTELY STUNNING basement that I and my entire family has seen. Most reviews like start from the beginning to the end of their project, but I'm going to do the opposite and start from my warranty coverage to the very beginning stages of construction.Warranty/Customer Service: 10/10What I find so great about Harmony was the fact that they care about their final product. During the last two years, I had two very minor issues with my basement which was a result of my own choice/mistake. I contacted Harmony to get these two issues resolved and they scheduled the repair days later. Most trades do not even pick up the phone when I call but Harmony takes their warranty and final product serious! One of the minor issues was my washroom faucet, it was leaking water. I did not use the faucet that Harmony provided, I used a Glacier Bay faucet (stay away from Glacier Bay faucets) and when I noticed the leak I contacted Harmony. They came days later to ensure that the leak was not coming from the pipes. It was a faulty washer in the glacier bay faucet, I wish I had used the Harmony faucet initially, but Harmony, actually caring about their final product removed the glacier bay faucet and installed a new faucet for me. They had no reason to change the faucet as it was not their own, but being the great and compassionate company that they are, they fixed it for me. This is one of the reasons why I absolutely love Harmony.. they have an amazing warranty coverage and amazing customer service. Plumbing/Hvac/Electrical/Drywall - 10/10 what more can I say?! Perfect!KITCHEN - 100/10 .. yes 100 out of 10Let's just say the finishing in our basement kitchen area is better then our upstairs kitchen! This is the 'wow' factor in our basement. See the pictures below yourself. Also, we made changes as the kitchen was being built, Harmony did an excellent job listening and helping us make those changes happen. They cared so much about how we envisioned our basement. Claudio/Diego - 10/10It is very rare to find people in the construction business to be honest and forth coming. I have been 'hustled' by so many trades people but Claudio and Diego are different. These two take so much pride in the product they give to their customers. They are honest and respectful and most importantly TRUTHFUL!! These are the people you want to invest in when it comes to building your DREAM basement. I'm very thankful to have them build my basement for my family and I. Thank you guys!To sum it all up.. yes you have your Penguin Basements, AGM.. but they are NOT even at the SAME LEVEL as Harmony. Harmony Basements understands what it means to exceed expectations. We asked them to come and quote us for completely finishing our basement that included a wet bar, 3 piece bath, and podcast studio. Other contractors that we asked for quotes provided one after a 30 minute inspection of the house.Diego spent approximately 3 hours working on the quote at our home, which resulted in a 3D walkthrough and 3 different layout options of what the finished product would look like. His attention to detail, and work put into the quote, as well as his willingness to be flexible on price gave us the confidence to go with him and his team.Add to that, that we had a very tight timeline of exactly 6 weeks, his team of specialized contractors put in the extra hours and weekends to ensure that the project was completed with time to SPARE which served to help us immensely in getting our studio ready for broadcast.There were issues with getting the permit and later some electrical issues, which Diego and his team addressed promptly without having to chase them which was very refreshing to see.In the end, we are 100% satisfied with the result of the build. From design, to the friendliness of his people, to the quality and speed of the work, you would be missing out if you did NOT use Harmony Basements for your needs.They are truly in a class all on their own.

We are very pleased with the overall quality and finish. These guys are seriously committed to do a good job maintaining direct and constant communication with us throught the project. Harmony Basements have met our expectations. They have done a good job. Our first meeting with Claudio and Diego went well we knew right away after they told us and explained the process we knew they knew what they were doing. We had all the options explained to us and how the company operates. The material selections was done quick and easy in the decor studio located in Woodbridge at the their main office. The decor studio manager and selections coordinator understood what we wanted. Their customer service were always ready to assist us or answer any questions. Very important to us Harmony did not came up with any surprises and changes just the normal issues any construction site would have. In conclusion great work from Claudio’s team of managers, scheduling and communication, no complaints there. 10 for him and his team. Everything was managed in a professional and timely manner. We are very satisfied with the workmanship and customer service of the Harmony Team that completed our basement finishing project. From the initial design phase, we were confident that Harmony could deliver our vision within a respectable budget. Diego dedicated his time (prior to us signing an agreement) to provide us with the conceptual design model ensuring the project scope was clear and that it was to our satisfaction. Stefany assisted us with our selections at the Design Studio and the process was smooth. The project started very shortly after signing the agreement with everything concluding within 7 weeks. Sasha provided a weekly schedule that was closely followed and Harmony’s communication was good. Roy, the Site Supervisor, was a pleasure to work with. Our young son needed his own room in our basement and we came to Claudio and his team at Harmony Basements . They absolutely exceeded our expectations. Not only did he have creative solutions for our basement space, he and his team were on time, professional, and actually a joy to have in the house. Some of them have known each other since childhood, and the trust and history means a natural understanding and positive mood. There were many times they'd be working out a problem together and I'd hear laughter coming from the other room. For a project that necessarily involves coming into someone's hearth and home, I think it really matters that the contractors are not only professional, but friendly and approachable. We added work as we went along, and Claudio was fair and flexible about changes - we even gained a storage room we didn't hope for, thanks to Claudio ideas. The best part was that Diego is very open to using your ideas and implementing them. we were updated on every step of the way. I had signed a contract with AGM Basements, a large company endorsed by Mike Holmes. However, after discovering a Facebook group called "Victims of AGM," where past and current customers shared their renovation nightmares, I was able to cancel the contract within 48 hours.After doing more research, I came across Harmony Basements and was impressed by the overwhelmingly positive feedback. I reached out to their office and asked to meet with the owner to discuss my project. From the very first conversation, I could tell that Diego is an incredibly talented and detail-oriented professional.My project was a large legal second dwelling, and I had spoken to multiple contractors before making a decision. Most of them provided vague quotes and outsourced their design work to third-party architects. The difference with Harmony was clear—Diego, a professional architect by trade, leads a dedicated team of designers. They showed me examples of their completed projects, including one nearly identical to what I had envisioned: a large rental unit with two bedrooms plus a separate bachelor suite for Airbnb.Their approach made complete sense. I invested $6,000 in their design and permit package, which turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. I initially had one solid idea for my basement, but through their collaborative process, Diego and his team helped me explore about ten different layouts. Seeing real-time renderings of each option was an incredible experience. By the end of our design sessions, we had a fully detailed scope of work, including electrical and mechanical plans—everything required for building permits and to obtain more accurate contractor quotes. The service also covered the submission to the municipality for approvals. He even promised a $2,000 credit toward the design fee if I awarded Harmony the construction contract. One of the best parts of this process was the transparency in costs. Since every expense was clearly outlined, I was able to make informed decisions to maximize my return on investment. For example, I originally had a high number of pot lights in the design, but since this was a rental unit, I opted to reduce the number without sacrificing quality.I initially signed the agreement without including the staircase finishing with their Torlys vinyl product, just to save costs. My home already had two painted staircases (main and service) from the builder. However, once the project was underway and I saw the level of craftsmanship, I decided to add the staircase finishing in the middle of the renovation—it simply made sense.Throughout the project, Diego and his team exceeded my expectations. My basement is just under 1,500 sqft, and I worked closely with Diego for about a month to finalize every detail. He was patient, full of creative ideas, and genuinely invested in making sure the outcome was perfect. The entire Harmony team was exceptional. Roy, the site supervisor, was always attentive and quick to address any concerns, often working late to keep things on schedule. Roberto, the framer, worked incredibly fast while maintaining outstanding precision. Missael, the taper, put in over 12-hour days, even on weekends, to ensure timely completion. Julian’s carpentry work brought the space to life, and Eduardo, one of the nicest professionals I’ve met, delivered a flawless paint job and left the basement spotless.A team like this is rare to find. They worked quickly without ever compromising quality, and the results speak for themselves. I couldn’t be happier with my decision, and I’ve already recommended Harmony Basements to several people. I wanted to finish my basement into an in law suit but I was very apprehensive because I had a really bad experience with renovations in the past. You get what you pay for and Harmony Basements was worth every dollar!!!From start to finish the staff was professional, attentive, patient and RELIABLE. Our experience with Harmony Basement's finishing of our basement including a bathroom was very positive. We found the contractors were very hard working and reliable, showing up on time and cleaning up daily. Claudio, the supervisor always listened to our concerns during the process and took action. Diego's was a great help in designing the layout. The drywall finishing and painting were simply outstanding and George was a "workhorse" with the long hours he worked on site to complete the framing and drywall installation. The project was completed on time. We are extremely satisfied with the results and highly recommend the company for your renovation needs.

I am very happy with the work done by Claudio and Seth for finishing my basement. He finished it 2.5 months as promised. Also I got all items done as agreed upon as everything was discussed upfront and put on paper. When we met with Harmony Basements for a meeting in regards to finishing our basement, we came to them with a request. We wanted a very elegant basement and very minimalistic. Finishing a basement is a big financial investment and after a few quotes we went with Harmony Basements. Their standard finishes were a lot better than the other places we looked at. Working with Deigo and Pablo to design the layout and finishes was great. They were both helpful and responded quickly to questions or concerns. The job was finished on time and Deigo was here inspecting and making sure everything was done correctly. Overall we are happy with the finishes and customer service and are enjoying our finished basement.

Harmony finished our basement in mid-Sept 2017. Overall a pretty great job but it was 4 weeks delayed and there were minor workflow issues. I would still recommend them. The materials are top notch and my basement is toasty warm. Our family now has an extra 1000 sq ft of useable, functional living space. I have a more thorough review on Homestars. We moved into a new house during the pandemic that had an unfinished basement. It was a difficult time but Harmony Basements managed to turn it into a wonderful legal basement apartment as quickly as possible. Every part of it is done perfectly. From the lovely flooring, the gorgeous stone wall and fireplace, to the beautiful kitchen and bathroom with glass shower and tiling. All was done with safety in mind even down to the foundation check and we passed inspection with flying colours. I am now enjoying living in my very own private apartment !
